The Needle-less Insertion Sled works by adding a “backbone” to the cylinder to allow it to slide into place distally. 
Two sizes: 7 mm and 10 mm widths.

How To

Step 1:

Align prosthesis cylinder with sled and have string attached to the tip through the notch in the sled. Fig 1.

Step 2:

Wrap string around the index finger of the introducing hand to keep cylinder in place in a taut position and hold cylinder, sled and string together as in Fig. 2

Step 3:

Introduce the device with the cylinder into corpus distally as far as it will go comfortably.

Step 4:

Remove string from device before removing sled by sliding out one of the string ends.

Step 5:

Remove sled.
