Key Benefits
It combines a corkscrew tip with a Rosello-like body. The grating indents on the body are arraigned in both vertical and horizontal positions to remove fibrotic tissue as it rotates forward (vertical indents) and as it pulls back (horizontal indents). It comes in 9 and 11 mm sizes.
Method of Use
Dr. Steve Wilson, from the Institute of Urologic Excellence, describes the technique. Once access to the corpora is obtained the M-M Spacemaker Cavernotome is inserted and advanced in either direction in a screwing motion. Rotation advances the cavernotome into the corpora and the body indents remove fibrotic tissue. Dr. Sung Hun (Sean), Park, Director of the Sewum Prosthetic Urology Center of Excellence, demonstrates its use.
Method of Use
Once access to the corpora is obtained advance the scissor in a closed position and pull back with the arms spread.
